ON CAMERA WORKSHOP FOR TEENS
(an interactive workshop to get “miles on the road”)
Matthew Del Negro
THE WORKSHOP IN A NUTSHELL
''You guys are in great hands with Matt. He's one of the true diehard journeyman actors.”
Chris Messina, SAG Award-winning Actor
In this intensive workshop, students will have the opportunity to work with successful film and TV actor, Matthew Del Negro, as he combines all of the fundamentals, strategies, and procedures he has developed and utilized in his nearly three-decade career as an actor.
Having taught and privately coached actors since the early 2000s, mentored them through his online community 10,000 NOs Insiders and podcasted and written about the mental game required for a career in the arts, (10,000 NOs), there is no one better equipped to introduce teenagers to on-camera technique.
This workshop is designed to get teens out of their comfort zone and provide a baseline for honest self-expression on camera by giving them "miles on the road." Matt will shed light upon camera awareness, standard industry terms and processes and other techniques, but the heart of it is about learning to trust one’s self, the courage of self-expression and the vulnerability required to be truthful on camera.
Matt, also an accomplished theatrical actor, will touch on the differences and similarities between acting on stage versus on camera. Students will each come away from this workshop not just with philosophies about acting, but actual experience in front of the camera, taking direction, trying different approaches on different takes and being encouraged to bring their own unique viewpoint to their work.
**Raw footage (captured on an 80D SLDR camera with 50mm Sigma lens with professional lighting) will be provided post-event.**
Workshops take place in one day. Depending on the size of your group, they can last anywhere from 3 hours to 7 hours. We will work with you to keep it intimate enough that everyone has a chance to work.
