ABOUT

If you're an actor, the chances are that you've hit a few bumps in the road by now. You know you have what it takes to make it, but not enough people in a position to actually hire you agree... as often as you'd like. Even if you're considered a "success", there's a good chance you've been out of work for long stretches of time. Maybe you're in a sweet spot right now, but you're acutely aware that your current gig can end overnight. You're thirsty for better opportunities, more fulfilling material and a career you can rely upon. The truth is, you don't like to talk about any of this because it feels like you'd be quitting if you admitted to any amount of failure.

I'm here to tell you that the NOs are built into the game if you chose this path. It's not a failure to get a NO, even 10,000 of 'em. Not only do I continue to receive NOs on a daily basis after 25 years of acting professionally, but I have also sat down with household names, cultural icons, Emmy and Academy Award winning artists who admit that they, too, are not immune to the rejection that comes with a long career as a professional actor, writer, director or producer. It has become my mission, while continuing to forge ahead in my own career, to help artists like you, who have what it takes, learn how to withstand the inevitable NOs long enough to get their shot at being storytellers who are paid for their craft and fulfilled in their lives.

I have since found that what I originally built for actors has proven to be helpful for anyone that’s heard the word NO. So, whatever it is that brought you here, thanks for stopping by. Look around and see if there's anything we offer that might help you learn the lesson my Dad always taught me… that "failure" is just opportunity in disguise, and NO isn't the end of the road.

“Matt Del Negro brings in a wide variety of guests from different industries including entertainment. While some of my favorites are from actors or producers, you’ll gain something regardless of what industry you’re in. Every episode is different so if you don’t love one episode, try another as someone else’s story about rejection, perseverance, or overcoming adversity is a much-needed theme for most. If you need more inspiration for overcoming your “10,000 No’s”, this is the right podcast for you!”
